Brief information about the parish

Kianyaga parish is one of the oldest parishes in the diocese. It was started in 1924 by the Consolata Missionaries. Karumande and Kiamutugu parishes have been carved from Kianyaga Parish. The parish is located in central province in Kirinyaga county. It is well populated and is rich in vegetation resulting to good agriculture. There are many Catholics who are committed to their faith as a result of rich evangelization which was done by the missionaries.
